WARRANTY
THE ROOKIE LIMITED WARRANTY STATEMENT
Effective March 22, 2006 THE ROOKIE, a division of Altinex, Inc. (“THE ROOKIE”) warrants that its products are free from manufacturing defects when installed and used in accordance with the supplied users manual. Subject to the conditions and limitations set forth below, THE ROOKIE, at its discretion, will either repair or replace any returned product that is determined by THE ROOKIE to be defective, without charge for parts or repair labor. At THE ROOKIE option, THE ROOKIE will use either new or Factory Certified Products for all warranty repairs.
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
This warranty shall be void if a serial number has been removed from the product or if it is determined by THE ROOKIE that the product has been opened, altered or physically damaged either by accident or intentionally.
DURATION OF WARRANTY
Lifetime Warranty: Hose carrying handles: RS-12060, RS-12063 and hose roller accessories such as the RS-12090 advertised on the THE ROOKIE web site are covered for the life of the product.
Five-year Warranty: The following products are covered by the five-year warranty from the shipping date from THE ROOKIE: Electric hose rollers (RS-13003), gas hose rollers (RS-13000, RS-13004, RS-13005), hose ReLoader (RS-13013), portable stand (RS-13011), and ReLoader and Stand (RS-13012). This warranty covers all* components when used as intended (Please see User’s Guide). Cosmetic and/or normal wear and tear is to be expected with use and does not constitute warranty claim.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR TRANSPORTATION EXPENSES
US: Products returned to THE ROOKIE for warranty repair or replacement must be shipped with all transportation expenses pre-paid. Upon determination of a legitimate defect covered by this warranty and at THE ROOKIE‘s sole discretion, THE ROOKIE will cover expenses for return via Unishipper (or equivalent) shipment of customer goods after a repair or replacement has been made. Customers must cover expenses incurred by urgent “air” return shipments. All return shipments are F.O.B. Origin (Placentia, CA).
International: Products returned to THE ROOKIE for warranty repair or replacement must be shipped with all transportation expenses pre-paid. Upon determination of a legitimate defect covered by this warranty and at THE ROOKIE‘s sole discretion, THE ROOKIE will cover expenses for return via International Economy (or equivalent) of customer goods after a repair or replacement has been made. Customers must cover expenses incurred by their request to ship returns via “air”. All return shipments are F.O.B. Origin (Placentia, CA).
NON WARRANTY REPAIRS
If product is out of warranty then repair charge is required. Minimum repair charge: $125 or 25% of the retail price (whichever is higher) plus the cost of failed components. We will repair the failed product after repair cost has been approved by customer and proper financial arrangements are made.
FACTORY CERTIFIED PRODUCTS
Factory certified refers to a product that is not new, but has been restored to a fully working condition, and carries the same warranty as a brand new product from the box. Factory certified products can have some cosmetic defects, scratches or scuffing. It also may be packaged differently than a brand new product. To differentiate the factory certified products from the product which is new, the factory certified products is identified as the regular model plus a suffix “FC”. For example, DA1907LXFC. The factory certified products will be used as advanced replacements to replace defective products on the field. The customers are also welcome to purchase factory certified products at a discounted price when the stock is available.
